Chef Ben Halperin has won many awards since opening Augusta he has worked with some of the Best Chefs in New Orleans Chef Susan Spicer of Bayona she was a Bravo Top Chef finale judge and James beard award winner. Chef Ben also worked withGerard Maras an original Head Chef at Brennans in New Orleans. We are happy to be here in Iowa sharing real- New Olreans style food .

You cannot go wrong with anything that you order, as almost 100% of the food is made there...from mayonnaise, buns, pickles, salad dressings, all are made to delight with the flavor of New Orleans in the guise of mid-western home cooking. Ingredients are as local as they can be, with beef and pork from Iowa and local produce in season.

I loved this place! Being from New Orleans and travelling so far, it was wonderful to find a place to eat that knew what cajun food is supposed to taste like! Thank you to the chef and owners for doing this New Orleans girl proud. I am going to tell everyone I know, if you're going to Iowa, or just driving through, the stop off in Oxford is completely worth it! Thank you again for such an extraordinary dining experience.
